She joined the real estate industry after she passed the SISV real estate agency course in 1992 and has been a certified real estate (CREA@) agent since 1993. She is now a ASSOCIATE GROUP DIRECTOR with OrangeTee & Tie Pte Ltd as a result of a joint venture with Edmund Tie & Company Property Network Pte LTd (formerly known as DTZ Property Network Pte Ltd).
She began her career in the mid-1970s in a law firm. She acquired legal knowledge and skills in criminal and civil cases. In 1999, she acquired further knowledge in conveyancing practice, such as dealing with banks as mortgagees, CPF as chargees on procedures and documentation, the Singapore Land Authority in respect of title documents, URA, BCA, IRAS, LTA and other related departments on searches.
A highly trained former executive secretary and admin manager. While she worked at an import & export company, she managed independently the banking, insurance and shipping matters of a timber import and export group of companies. Subsequently when she worked at a total communication firm for public relations and advertising, she managed the daily operations including finances. While being a real estate person, she also assisted her husband in the running of his law firm for a period of 7 years from 1***** , overseeing the daily operations including supervising staff, liaising with clients, and dealing with the different government authorities, including the High and Subordinate Courts of Singapore. During the same time, after passing the requisite exams to operate a financial planner, she also practiced as an AIA financial planner for 2 years.
Her portfolio includes attending a one-year counselling course in dealing with human emotions and engaging the skills in volunteering at Changi General Hospital. She was nominated as one of the Inspirational Patient & Caregiver Award Winners 2011. Also participated in toastmaster public speaking speeches while she was a member of the Marine Parade Toastmaster Club for 2 years.
